Background


Chris Hotze

Is the co-founder and President of Stonechurch Development.  Chris has over twelve years of construction and development experience. Early in his development career he worked in construction and development of industrial build to suits. In 2002 he joined the retail development firm of Wellington Development where he still remains a partner. At Wellington, Chris was responsible for interaction with all aspects of the construction process, among other duties.

Chris’ industrial construction experience includes clients such as Space Plus Mini Storage, CMI Moulding, the Department of Energy, and MaxBar. His retail experience includes several retail centers and 40,000 square foot grocery anchored retail center. He has built buildings for Guaranty Bank, Starbucks, Matress Giant , Sprint, and Verizon wireless to name a few.

Chris has been involved in numerous projects at Rice University including the renovation of over 130 dormitory rooms on that campus, along with other buildings.  Chris has also done storm damage restoration of a major residential facility after Hurricane Ike.

Recently he built a chapel and convent for a religious order based in Houston and  is currently working on construction of a related school in northwest Houston.

Chris is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He has served on numerous boards and has served on the construction committee of the Trotter YMCA in Houston for numerous years. Chris has served on the board of directors of the Post Oak YMCA. He has served as a Trustee of the Episcopal School of Texas in San Antonio.

Ashley Hotze

Is the co-founder and COO of Stonechurch.  A graduate of the University of Texas, Ashley began her career in Washington D.C. and returned to Houston to work at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.  Ashley has had over 10 years experience in the development and real estate field. Her responsibilities at Stonechurch include the management of internal accounting.

Jason Young

A graduate of the University of Houston, Jason brings 19 years of experience in the Construction field to Stonechurch Development.  Jason started his career with Trendmaker Homes and then with Lovett Development. 

Over the course of his career, Jason has been responsible for all aspects of community construction, construction plan management, job accounting and scheduling. Jason has spent the bulk of his career in the field and his experience includes office building build out, specialty lab and medical construction, as well as industrial and residential construction.  Jason’s main role at Stonechurch is to supervise day to day field construction.
